Matt Robertson – In Echelon out now

You may already know Matt Robertson’s name through his work as musical director for Björk, Cinematic Orchestra and Anohni Hegarty amongst his impressive list of credits as a composer and producer. We’re excited to share with you Matt’s new album In Echelon, which is out today.

Inspired by the idea of surveillance and how we’re always monitored but seem either oblivious or apathetic to it, In Echelon is a stunning showcase of Matt’s combination of electronic music production with classical composition and cinematic soundscapes, featuring sounds generated from his vast collection of vintage, modern and DIY synths.

“Think Nils Frahm’s modern classical meets Jon Hopkins’ grainy techno” – MOJO ★★★★
“An album of symphonic electronica and leftfield techno thats cinematic in scale” – Mixmag 8/10
“A beautiful piece of music” – Mary Anne Hobbs
“Magnificent…wild, electronic sound” – The Line Of Best Fit
“Strongly cinematic, unavoidably melancholic” – Sounds of a Tired City
