Sephine Llo – “I, Your Moon” Out Now

It’s here. Today we celebrate the release of the debut album by Sephine Llo.

Having been delayed as a result of deeply unfortunate circumstances, we’re thrilled to see it available for everyone to experience. It’s a brilliantly different record; traditional-folk inspired songwriting accentuated with subtle yet masterful classical and electronic sounds.

“Steeped in both folk and modern classical, the fluttering electronics are reminiscent of Bjork’s more opaque compositions.” – Clash

“Ethereal, ghostly soundscapes that draw quick comparisons to Florence Welch or Kate Bush.” – Wonderland

“(An) intriguing mix of folk, electronic music and studio experimentation.” – CMU

“a debut album of wonder and beauty” – Noctis

“I’m sure she’s the only artist that we’ve played this week who has also featured on Radio 3’s Late Junction!” – Steve Lamacq, BBC 6 Music

“an absolutely stunning piece of work” – Charlie Ashcroft, Amazing Radio

Sephine Llo – First To Tarnish

In 2014 we welcomed Sephine Llo to the roster. She brought her unique contemporary, folk-inspired songwriting and composition to us for the Flame EP, an initial taste of her brilliance which was quickly championed online and at radio.

Hoping to deliver to you her debut album shortly afterwards, Sephine sadly learned of her husband’s cancer diagnosis. Since then she has been by his side until his death late last year, which happened just after discovering they were pregnant.

Sephine gave birth to their son Laurence just last week, and it’s with incredible humility and honour that we announce the release of her album I, Your Moon, due later this year.

Clash have premiered an initial track First To Tarnish, (which you can also stream here on Spotify).
